Presentations from the SMART Workshop at The Great North Museum: Hancock, Newcastle upon Tyne, on 17th January 2020. The workshop aimed to introduce participants to multiple ways of effectively managing archaeological material and using archaeology collections to engage and inspire people of all ages beyond display. The subject matter covered best practices in the management, use, and understanding of archaeological collections, effective participation in the treasure process, and how archaeology can be integrated into community engagement, learning, and volunteer projects.
